What is the Starbucks Pink Drink?
The Starbucks pink drink is a drink that is sweet, creamy, and pink in color, under their refresher line. It’s made up of a strawberry acai base, coconut milk, and freeze-dried strawberries.
This DIY pink drink at home is a little different, but inspired by the Starbucks version and is undeniably sweet and creamy just like their version! Instead of the strawberry acai base (which interestingly doesn’t contain strawberries or acai), we’re using herbal passion fruit tea, white grape juice, and a coconut cold foam in place of stirring the coconut milk right into the drink. It imparts the same coconut flavor but in a way that’s a tad more fun!

What You’ll Love About this Pink Drink Recipe

Pink Drink Ingredients
- Tazo Passion Tea – This herbal tea helps give some fruity flavor to the drink and a bright pink color. You could also use another hibiscus tea or berry tea with bright and sweet flavors.
- Sugar – For a drink that tastes like the real deal pink Starbucks drink, you’ll want to add some sweetener to the tea while it’s brewing so it can dissolve right in. You can use honey, maple syrup, sugar, or simple syrup. Adjust the amount of sweetener to your liking.
- White grape juice – This gives the drink sweet and fruity flavor, without taking away from the pink color.
- Coconut milk – With this DIY pink drink, we’re using the coconut milk to make a cold foam, instead of mixing it right into the drink. If you prefer to mix the coconut milk in, you certainly could do that instead or make my sweet cream cold foam instead of coconut foam.
- Vanilla paste – I love using this vanilla paste for cold foam as it has real vanilla bean flecks, but you can also use vanilla extract or a whole vanilla bean if you prefer.
- Strawberries – These help add the sweet and fruity flavor, plus look so pretty in the drink! You can skip if you prefer or use freeze-dried strawberries like the Starbucks version.
