As the owner of this website (the “Site”), Emily Dingmann (“we,” “us,” or “our”) understands that your privacy is of critical importance. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect from you via the Site and how we use and disclose such information.

Our Use of Cookies

A cookie is a file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent by a web server to a web browser and is stored by the browser. The identifier is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. Cookies may be either “persistent” cookies or “session” cookies: a persistent cookie will be stored by a web browser and will remain valid until its set expiry date, unless deleted by the user before the expiry date; a session cookie, on the other hand, will expire at the end of the user session, when the web browser is closed. Cookies do not typically contain any information that personally identifies a user, but personal information that we store about you may be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies.

We use cookies for the following purposes:

(a) Authentication – We use cookies to identify you when you visit our website and as you navigate our website.

(b) Status – We use cookies to help us to determine if you are logged into our website.

(c) Personalization – We use cookies to store information about your preferences and to personalize the website for you.

(d) Security – We use cookies as an element of the security measures used to protect user accounts, including preventing fraudulent use of login credentials, and to protect our website and services generally.

(e) Advertising – We use cookies to help us to display advertisements that will be relevant to you.

(f) Analysis – We use cookies to help us to analyze the use and performance of our website and services.

We use Google Analytics to analyze the use of our website. Google Analytics gathers information about website use by means of cookies. The information gathered relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of our website. Google’s privacy policy is available at: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

By using our Site, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this Privacy Policy. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by deleting or disabling cookies through your browser settings.

Please note that blocking cookies may have a negative impact on the functions of many websites, including our Site. Some features of the Site may cease to be available to you.

Interest-Based Advertising

We work with third-party advertising partners to display advertisements on our Site. These advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, tags, and similar technologies (collectively, “Tracking Technologies”) to collect information about your browsing activities in order to provide you with relevant advertising.

How Interest-Based Advertising Works

First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting. A third-party cookie is frequently used in behavioral advertising and analytics and is created by a domain other than the website you are visiting. These Tracking Technologies may be placed on the Website to monitor interaction with advertising content and to target and optimize advertising based on your interests and browsing behavior.

Each internet browser has functionality so that you can block both first and third-party cookies and clear your browser’s cache. The “help” feature of the menu bar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to receive notification of new cookies, how to disable existing cookies and how to clear your browser’s cache. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, you can consult the information at www.allaboutcookies.org.

Data Collected for Advertising

Our advertising partners may collect the following types of information through Tracking Technologies:

  • IP Address
  • Operating System type and version
  • Device Type and device identifiers
  • Language settings
  • Web browser type and version
  • Pages visited on our Site
  • Time and date of visits
  • Referring website information
  • General location information (derived from IP address)

This information is used to:

  • Deliver targeted advertisements that may be of interest to you
  • Measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns
  • Limit the number of times you see the same advertisement
  • Understand how users interact with advertisements

Third-Party Advertising Partners

Our advertising partners may also collect data about you from other sources, such as other websites, advertising IDs, or pixels, and link that data to information collected from our Site in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including across different devices, browsers and apps. These partners may create audience segments based on your browsing behavior, which are used to provide targeted advertising.

Your Advertising Choices

Please note that rejecting cookies does not mean that you will no longer see ads when you visit our Site. In the event you opt-out, you will still see non-personalized advertisements on the Website.

Without cookies you may not be able to take full advantage of the Website content and features.

  • Browser Settings: You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent

Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers have a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that tells websites that you do not want your online activities tracked. Our Site does not currently respond to DNT signals or similar mechanisms. If we do so in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

We may collect your email address, but only if you voluntarily provide it to us. This may occur, for example, if you sign up to receive an email newsletter, or enter a promotion. We may also collect information about you through other methods, including research surveys, social media platforms, verification services, data services, as well as public sources. We may combine this data with your registration data in order to maintain a more thorough profile.
