Cheesy Chicken Parmesan Sliders
These chicken Parmesan sliders are the perfect mix of crispy chicken tenders, tangy marinara, and gooey mozzarella, all piled onto sweet Hawaiian rolls and topped with garlic butter. They bake up golden and bubbly in just 35 minutes, making them ideal for weeknight dinners when you need something fast and crowd-pleasing, or for game day spreads when you want an appetizer that actually fills people up. The best part? You only need 6 ingredients, and one of them is frozen chicken tenders, so this comes together with minimal effort.

Ingredient Notes
You’ll need some fresh ingredients and pantry staples to bring these Italian chicken sliders to the table: frozen breaded chicken tenders (or nuggets), a package of Hawaiian sweet rolls (the classic dinner roll size, not slider buns), butter, garlic salt, your favorite marinara sauce, and sliced mozzarella cheese.

Emily’s Tips & Tricks
- Pro tip: Bake your chicken tenders until they’re extra crispy before assembling the sliders. The crispier the chicken, the better the texture contrast with the soft rolls and melty cheese. Don’t skip this step or you’ll end up with soggy sliders!
- Feeding kids without pressure: We don’t have 100% buy-in on sliders from our family so I’ll usually leave some of the ingredients separate so they can make their own sandwich or eat the components separately. Not ideal, but real life!
- Additions: Add sliced pepperoni between the chicken and cheese for a pizza twist, or sprinkle Italian seasoning on top of the garlic butter for extra flavor.

Description
These easy chicken Parm sliders have layers of crispy chicken, melty mozzarella, marinara, and garlic butter – baked until golden brown.
Ingredients
- 16 oz. frozen chicken tenders
- 12 oz. Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 12 slices mozzarella cheese slices
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a 9×13-inch pan with foil.
- Prepare chicken strips according to package instructions. (Can be done any way, they just need to be cooked and hot.)
- Keeping the buns intact, cut Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise carefully so they stay together.
- In a small bowl, mix together melted butter and garlic salt.
- Place bottom layer of Hawaiian rolls into foil-lined pan. Top with a layer of cheese slices and then with a layer of chicken tenders to cover cheese (try to align in rows, keeping in mind where you’ll cut the sliders). Then top chicken with a layer of marinara and another layer of cheese.
- Top with top bun section and brush tops of bun with garlic butter.
- Bake sliders for 13-16 minutes, or until cheese is melted and buns are golden brown.
Notes
Storage: Best served immediately while the rolls are crispy and the cheese is melty.
Ingredients: Hawaiian sweet rolls are key here, the sweetness balances the savory marinara and cheese perfectly. Make sure you buy the classic dinner roll size (the ones that come connected as a sheet), not individual slider buns. For the chicken, any breaded tenders or strips work, or you can use nuggets or patties.
Serve with: These are pretty filling on their own, but pair nicely with simple sides like a fresh green salad, veggie sticks with dip, coleslaw, or air fryer broccoli. Potato chips and fresh fruit round out the meal for something quick and easy.
Serving Suggestions

- Fresh fruit
- Potato chips

FAQs
The bottom layer of cheese acts as a barrier between the marinara and the bun, which helps a lot. Make sure your chicken tenders are crispy (not steaming hot out of the oven with moisture), and don’t overdo the marinara sauce. Also, serve these right away after baking for the best results.
Use a sharp serrated knife and cut along the natural divisions of the Hawaiian rolls. If you want cleaner cuts, let them cool for 2-3 minutes after baking so the cheese sets slightly, making them easier to separate.
