Halloween Charcuterie Board
This super fun Halloween charcuterie board is easy, festive, and always a fun hit! Filled with a great mix of sweet and savory, this is a gorgeous, but more importantly, delicious board that has some nutritious items, as well as plenty of fun ones. It’s the perfect addition to your Halloween party spread!

It’s creepy, it’s cute, but also totally edible.
Some of the charcuterie board ideas for Halloween are really over the top, but it was important to me that this not only looked good, but was also going to TASTE good so I used my typical formula for charcuterie boards, adding in some fun sweets, extras, and decorations to give it an understated Halloween feel, while still feeling like so much fun.
On Halloween, anything goes at our house, but I am always sure to put out some nutritious options with some protein and produce. I’ve always found that it goes over well with the kids (and best if you aren’t asking them to eat it! ;)) It’s…
😋 Seriously delicious: This board combines classic charcuterie flavors with fun seasonal components that taste as good as they look.
🎃 Festive-worthy presentation: Creates the perfect spooky centerpiece that guests will love!
⏰ No cooking required: Just arrange beautiful, delicious foods for an impressive spread without turning on the oven.
👻 Perfect party starter: A big board like this is a great way to enjoy some food (besides candy!) on Halloween.
🍷 Feeds any size crowd: Easy to scale up or down depending on your party size and budget.
You’ll also want to try whipped feta dip, smoked salmon dip, chili cheese dip, and ranch chex mix next time.

Ingredient Notes
You’ll need some fresh ingredients and pantry staples to pull together this festive spread:
- Cheese: I always recommend including three cheese varieties on your board. I always go with an aged gouda (it’s always a hit), but then you have a lot of options. You could keep it basic with a cheddar or go fancy and include a creamy brie or soft cheeses like goat cheese. Typically, you’ll want to include a few different textures – something aged, something creamy, and something basic but ultimately, choose cheeses you and your guests will love over any arbitrary “rules.”
- Meats: Again, I like to go with three for a good variety. Salami and prosciutto are always musts on my board, and then I’ll fill in the third with something else OR use a charcuterie trio package with a variety.
- Crackers: Water crackers are a must, so that you aren’t overpowering any special cheeses, and then I like to use a flatbread, but again, it’s more important to choose crackers that you like.
- Produce: Fresh fruit and veggies are key to any good charcuterie board, and we can use a little extra produce on Halloween! To keep things festive and colorful, I like blackberries, sliced cucumbers, and some sliced apples. Oranges, carrots, and mini yellow or orange bell peppers are great veggie additions.
- Sweets: Because this is a Halloween snack board, I had to include some Halloween candy! I found some fun Halloween cotton candy, and then I added something like nuts and/or something festive and seasonal.
- Decorations: I loved adding some spooky decorations to the board! You can use mini bats and plastic spiders, small pumpkins (real or fake), skeleton hands, candy corn, or candy eyeballs.

Emily’s Favorite Charcuterie Board Tips
- Cut up any hard cheeses into small pieces or slices so they are easy to grab and fold up charcuterie meat into small pieces. I don’t actually want anyone cutting on the board pictured here, so all the cheeses that need to be cut are ready to eat. You could also put something like brie on a small plate to prevent cuts in your board. If you want to be EXTRA (in a good way), use small cookie cutters to cut out cheeses in Halloween shapes.
- Follow the 3-3-3-3-3 rule for charcuterie boards – 3 cheese, 3 meats, 3 crackers, 3 fresh items, and 3 extras or treats for the best variety of flavors.
- Slice or prep fruit or vegetables so they are ready to eat. Fruits like grapes can be cut into small clusters so they are easy to grab.
- Fill your board or platter FULL so that it looks nice and abundant. Fill in any empty spaces with extras, nuts, etc.
- Garnish your board! Fresh herbs like rosemary add a nice color and texture to the board, but you can also use leaves and themed decorations like the Halloween-themed ideas above – eyeballs, spiders, bats, cauldrons, or other spooky snacks.
