There are so many delicious flavors going on – we have Moroccan-inspired spiced lamb (that is succulent and rich and delicious); whipped lemon feta dip (IYKYK); crunchy shredded cabbage; and bright pickled red onions – all rolled up in a charred corn tortilla. What You’ll Love About Lamb Tacos

  • Feels slightly fancy, but it is easy!
  • Perfect for entertaining
  • An explosion of flavors
  • Made with 8 ingredients plus spices
  • Just 30 minutes total time
  • Can be prepped ahead

Ingredients

  • Lamb – We’ve used ground lamb in these tacos. If you can’t find lamb, you could also use ground beef, ground pork, or even ground turkey.
  • Spices – Sea salt, garlic powder, ground cumin, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, freshly cracked pepper
  • Onion – I recommend a red onion for best flavor and color.
  • Vinegar – Use distilled white vinegar, or your favorite white balsamic vinegar or apple cider vinegar.
  • Whipped lemon feta dip – This dip is insanely popular for a good reason – it’s delicious and it is SO SO good on these tacos. It’s simple to make, too.
  • Cabbage – Use green cabbage and shred as thinly as possible. You could also use shredded coleslaw as a shortcut, look for angel hair coleslaw if you can.
  • Corn tortillas – Corn tortillas give a great flavor (especially when you char them a bit) but you could also use flour tortillas as well.

How to Feed Ground Lamb Tacos to the Whole Family

I get it, feeding kids can be tough! But following the Division of Responsibility and knowing your job and your childโ€™s job makes it SO much more enjoyable. Youโ€™ll be able to feed your kids any meal, which will help ensure that they are eating a variety of nutritious foods โ€“ with plenty of play food sprinkled in.

I would recommend serving the lamb in a pinch bowl (taster bowl) if it’s a new or learning-to-like it food and let everyone build their own tacos. Serve the meal with a few items you know your kids will eat, like refried beans, fruit, or cheese quesadillas.
