- Core and slice apples. Use an apple slicer to make this quick and easy. And remember, this is a no peel apple butter so no need to peel.
- Cook apple butter. Add Honeybear Honeycrisp apples, apple cider, maple syrup, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, sea salt, and vanilla extract to the pressure cooker. Place lid on Instant Pot and seal closed. Cook on manual mode on High pressure for 10 minutes. Natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then release pressure.
COOK TIME: The cooking time will vary a bit, but my Instant Pot took about 15 minutes to come to pressure, 10 minutes to cook, 10 minutes to release pressure and then 20-30 minutes of simmering to thicken.
- Blend apple butter. Use an immersion blender to blend the cooked apples until smooth.
TIP: If you don’t have an immersion blender, you can transfer to a blender or food processor and carefully blend. (Blending hot liquids can be dangerous, so let it cool before blending.)
