Bagel Fruit Pizzas are an easy and fun hands-on breakfast that your kids will love making! We love bagels at our house…plain, toasted, or in the form of bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwiches, bagel bar brunch, and especially, salmon lox and bagels.

When I started my meal plan service, I honestly didn’t think it would change the way we eat as a family. The meals, the style of eating, the ingredients we use, how we cook – I was really just trying to share that with others!
But as I look back, it has changed our eating. And for the better!

Let me explain. It’s nothing drastic, but we eat at home more – less take out pizza and potsticker meals. We eat a better variety of foods – because I’m looking at things with a closer eye. (Definitely eating more seafood, which is always a goal of mine.) AND we are eating a wider variety of breakfast and lunches!
Mostly out of necessity, because I’m always testing and trying out new ideas for the group, but I have to say that I love it! It’s so important to feed kids a wide variety of foods, especially when they are young, to expose them to many different flavors, textures, cuisines, and foods.
And if I’m guilty of getting into a food rut with any meals, breakfast would be it! (Hi frozen waffles, toast, and yogurt!) It’s just how bagel fruit pizzas came about.

So what are bagel fruit pizzas?
They were created with a nod to the traditional fruit pizza (you know the ones on a sugar cookie and topped with frosting!), but with a bit more nutrition, and less sugar. They are so simple: bagels topped with cream cheese and sprinkled with fresh fruit. Add a touch of honey if you need a little sweetness.
Bagel fruit pizzas are sweet and creamy, a bit crunchy if you toast the bagels and a fun art project if you let your kids top their own bagels. (That was totally an idea from a mom in our group, and I think it’s a brilliant one!) Simply toast the bagel, spread with cream cheese, and give them a little bowl of diced fruit.
