Coconut Oil and Butter Chai Latte

Coconut oil + butter chai latte is a creamy beverage, full of healthy and satisfying fats!
So. I think (?) we’re ready for a baby! I mean, are we ready? Probably not. But are we ready to do this? YES! I’m so excited to meet this little baby – possibly later this month! One thing I’m trying to spend more time doing in the next few weeks is taking time for myself. Not on my laptop, not working out. More like drinking tea and reading.

I made the mistake of subscribing to The New Yorker, which now means I feel guilty when I don’t get to it every week. What was I thinking?! I’m also trying to finish up a few parenting books and then you know, read a few books for myself too! When I do get a chance to slow thingsย down, it feels utterly luxurious to make a cup of coffee or tea on the weekend and sit down with a book. And right now, I’m all about savoring the little things in life. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. We get the New Yorker (in print and on the kindle) every week and I swear it was the best nursing companion — it’s light enough to hold in one hand and read while the baby eats! Of course for the first couple weeks you’ll need to help them latch and get a comfy position, but once you’re in a groove, they’ll probably do their thing and you’ll be looking for some Netflix or some reading material. My gal would take almost an hour to do one feeding, so I could read at least one article in the New Yorker (if not two)! Oh, and bulletproof chai sounds amazing ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I have to try that. I’m not sure my brain has been ready to handle The New Yorker articles in the middle of the night, but during the day, yes! ๐Ÿ™‚
