🍂 A Holiday Table Staple

Looking to add a sweet addition to your holiday table? Whipped cranberry butter is just what you need.

This special and pink-hued butter is delicious on dinner rolls, spread on toast, or melted into the nooks and crannies of a hot English muffin. You can also use it as a compound butter for turkey. Rub it under the skin before roasting for juicy, sweet-and-savory flavor throughout the meat. It’s…

🧈 Just 3 ingredients: Butter, honey, and cranberry sauce whip together into something way more than the sum of its parts.
⏰ Ready in 10 minutes: No cooking, just whip and serve.
🍽️ Sweet & savory: The salted butter balances the honey’s sweetness and the cranberry’s tartness.
🎄 Perfect for the holidays: Built for the Thanksgiving and Christmas table, but works for any cozy morning.
♻️ Great for leftovers: A smart way to use up extra cranberry sauce after the holiday meal.

Ingredient Notes

You’ll need salted butter, honey, and whole berry cranberry sauce (not the jellied kind, but it does come out of the can looking rather jellied; don’t be surprised!).

Tips & Tricks

  • Pro tip: Salted butter is called for here on purpose. The salt balances the sweetness from the honey and the tartness from the cranberry sauce. If you swap in unsalted, add a pinch of salt to compensate. Butter should be room temperature, but not so warm that it is starting to melt.
  • Shortcuts: This is a great way to use up leftover cranberry sauce after Thanksgiving.

Notes

Storage: Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.

Ingredients: Whole berry cranberry sauce (not the jellied kind) keeps a bit of texture from the berries rather than whipping it fully smooth.

Prep ahead: This freezes well for up to 3 months, so it’s easy to make ahead of the holidays.

Tools: A stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment gets the butter light and fluffy – key for the right texture here.
