One taste of this air fryer bone-in chicken breast and we were hooked! It has the comforting flavor of roasted chicken, but it cooks in just 20 minutes.

Scale
  • 2 bone-in chicken breasts (about 2 lbs)
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. seasoning salt

  2. Drizzle chicken with olive oil on both sides and sprinkle with seasoning salt.
  3. Place in the air fryer basket skin-side down.

  4. Cook at 370 degrees F for 15 minutes, flip over, and cook another 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees F. If the skin is getting too dark, turn the heat down to 350 degrees F and cook until the chicken is cooked through.

Notes

  • Exact cooking temperature will vary based on breast size and air fryer. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked properly.
  • Storage: Cooked chicken keeps in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and can be eaten cold or reheated. For best results, reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes to restore crispiness. Freezes well for up to 3 months.
  • Ingredient notes: Look for bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts for maximum flavor. Get the highest quality chicken you can. Split breasts are great, as cooking the breast with the bone helps keep it flavorful and juicy.
  • Helpful tools: Air fryer, instant-read meat thermometer, tongs for flipping, paper towels for drying
  • Serve with: Air fryer broccoli, haricot vert, black bean quinoa salad
