Pepper Steak Stir Fry


This easy pepper and steak stir fry recipe, comes together in just 30 minutes and it’s better than take-out! It’s got everything I look for in a meal, carbs, veggies, protein, and FLAVOR!


– 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil, divided – 2 green bell peppers – 2 red bell peppers – 16 oz. flank steak – 3/4 tsp. sea salt, divided – 1/4 tsp. black pepper – 3 cloves garlic – 3 tsp. ginger – 1/4 cup soy sauce – 3 Tbsp. brown sugar – 2 Tbsp. cornstarch – 2 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar – 1 Tbsp. sesame oil

How to Make Pepper Steak Stir Fry

Make sauce


Stir together garlic, ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch until smooth.

Stir fry peppers

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet (the largest you have or wok) and stir fry peppers for about 4-5 minutes.


 Stir fry steak

Heat remaining vegetable oil in the same skillet and add steak to skillet. Season with salt and pepper and cook until steak has browned.


Finish stir fry


Add peppers and soy sauce mixture back to the skillet and stir frequently, cooking for an additional few minutes, or until sauce is thick and glossy.
