One person adds that yogurt parfaits with seasonal berries are a hit amongst blue-collar workers. The individuals receive healthy doses of protein and calcium while stocking up on refreshing berries. The cold snack can help regulate or cool down the workers’ temperatures, especially after a day of the sun pelting their backs and faces.

2. Trail Mix

Trail mix incorporates salty and sweet for a delectable and healthy snack. Gather several types of nuts and a few dried fruits and mix the contents together. Add some chocolate or peanut butter chips to the blend if you want to top off the bag with an extra sweet ingredient.

“If you can get a big roast for cheap, you can make jerky in your oven on its lowest setting,” one person adds. A second contributor states, “The butcher shop in your grocery might slice it for you for jerky on their meat slicer! A friend buys brisket and has it sliced across the grain for her jerky, but I usually get whatever larger cut is cheap this week and have them slice and wrap it for me!”
