Greek yogurt parfaits are a delicious and nutritious start to your day. Start with a base of yogurt. You can use plain or flavored yogurt though if you’re adding toppings, start with plain! You can use Greek yogurt or regular yogurt. Greek yogurt has a lot more protein than regular yogurt and also has a thicker texture and more of a tart flavor. So go with whatever you prefer – and then it’s time to add toppings. You can pick as many or as few as you like or have on hand. Spoon layers into a clear cup or dish for a beautiful presentation or layer into a bowl or make a few ahead in a meal prep container so you can take it on your way out the door.
Berries

Berries like strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries make for beautiful, sweet, and antioxidant-packed fruit toppings. You can also use frozen berries, just let them thaw a bit before digging in.
Sliced Bananas

Berries may be bright and colorful, but bananas add a great sweet flavor as well as some extra bulk to your parfait. Slice up and add to yogurt for an affordable and easy-to-find fruit addition.
Jam

No fresh fruit? Try using jam or fruit compote. Jam is a great way to add sweet and fruit flavor to plain yogurt. For about 1 cup of yogurt, start by stirring in 1 tablespoon of jam as a starting point, then taste test and add more if necessary.
Granola

Make your own granola or buy it to save time. Look for a granola that is loaded with nuts, seeds, and whole oats for a nutritious dose of sweetness and crunch to your yogurt.
Honey

If you use plain Greek yogurt, you may want to sweeten it up with a drizzle of honey or maple syrup. Just like the jam, start with a small amount (a few teaspoons), stir in, and taste. Adjust and add more as desired. High quality honey with a full fat Greek yogurt is truly delightful!
Chopped Nuts

Chop up your favorite nuts for a nutritious boost and crunchy texture. Almonds, pecans, and walnuts are all good options.
Nut Butter

Nut butter won’t add crunch, but it will add an extra boost of protein, fiber, and fats to keep you satisfied. Use a drizzle of almond butter, peanut butter, or cashew butter. You can also stir it into the yogurt instead of drizzling it over the top for a nut-butter flavored yogurt.
Seeds

Add a nutritious crunch with chia seeds, hemp seeds, and/or flaxseeds. You could also add a chia seed pudding layer by soaking chia seeds in your milk of choice for 15 minutes before layering your parfait.
Cacoa Nibs

Try adding cacao nibs, which are small pieces of crushed cacao beans. They have a bitter, dark chocolate flavor and a crunchy texture – both of which are great additions to your yogurt, especially paired with berries or banana.
