When I think about snacks that are healthy and filling, they fit into a few categories.

  • 200 calories or less
  • 10 grams of protein
  • 5 grams of fiber

This combination helps keep you full until your next meal. (And it’s why pretzels aren’t considered a healthy snack!) Here are some of my favorites!

    I have such a hard time with snacks because once I start eating, I have a hard time stopping (until I’m full/satisfied). But sometimes snacks are very necessary.

    I’m a big fan of cottage cheese and tomatoes with salt, pepper and hot sauce. Apples and almond butter is the ultimate winner for me because I can keep it in the office and have it pretty easily. Now I need to run to the store to get cottage cheese and apples!

    Thanks for reminders. I love cottage cheese and always forget about that! I am getting much better at my ‘healthy snacks’ thanks to you! I do occasionally sneak in some peanut m&m’s still. peanuts are kind of good for you, right? Lots of apples and pb lately too!
